Tony Ferguson Wk 10

This week I have gained 300 grams.
We are not worried as its been exactly a month since my last gain.
That time I lost what I had gained and a kilo more in the next week.
So we think its just my cycle and next week I will lose it again.
Lets hope so

Harvest from the sea

This morning very early we headed off to Port Phillip Bay to catch some fish. We acually got 6 snaper, which is the bag limit.
We bagged out in less than two hours.
We dropped one of the fish at a friends house so thay could have some for dinner.
I have really got the bug now. I cant wait to go out again.

Beautiful Bottlebrush

This is the Bottlebrush hedge we planted about 10 years ago. They get no attention at all now and yet they still give us a great show every year.
Our bees just love them.

Butterfly Kisses

Progress on this quilt has been slow. First I got myself those two jobs and that took alot of my stitching time away.
Then I had to wait for the quilters to have the time to fit me in as they were working on quilts for all the fire victims. Winter was coming so I did not mind having to wait.
So now it is finally finished and although not perfect, I learnt lots.
I really like this finished product.
Its only the second quilt I have made so I am pretty proud of myself.

Quite sunday fishing!

Yesterday we went fishing for the first time this season. We got up early and headed off to launch the boat and spent the day on the water.
I love being in the boat and I always feel very relaxed and refreshed after a day out.
We caught two snapper, and they were a good size, one whiting and another fish but we didn't know what it was.
We then decided to move to another spot.
As we were not planing to stay out too long, and because we left early, I did not pack a lunch. We got hungry and decided to try and catch something we could cook on the boat to eat.
The gods decided to bless us. As soon as we stopped at the new spot, we started catching Flathead.
In about 10 minutes we had caught enough for us to eat. As I kept bringing then in hubby was cleaning them and filleting them and we had the freshest fish for lunch possible.
And last night for dinner we had baked snapper and it was delicious!
Can't wait to go out again.
