My new life

Well baby girl is gone! We will be taking the rest of her stuff to her new home today. I am now officially an empty nester. On too of everything else this week I am dealing with this. I'm sad and it will take some adjustment but I will get through this and I know in a week or two I will be looking forward to my new life. But for now I'm eating chocolate because that's how I cope. See ya

Chocolate is a food group. It cures just about everything. What it doesn't cure doesn't matter. ;)

It's amazing how much fun we are having with an empty nest. Wait! Our youngest still lives here. She's an adult, has her own business, and does her own thing in addition to watching the house while we travel 6 months of the year. It's a win-win.

OK - now I need chocolate....

Oh :( I am dreading the day...I will possibly be the worst empty nester ever in the history of empty nesters. Thinking of you Darl, you eat as much chocolate as you need xx

It's rough, I know, but sounds like you know about the chocolate. You will be alright after that hollow feeling goes away and believe me it does - for the most part.

Oh...I know just how you are feeling !!!
It's terrible and takes along time to adjust.Just dont be hard on yourself ok !! (voice of experience) I have never ever stopped missing them..never stopped wanting them to come home..
Ive just got use to feeling that way now.
Its a huge life change.

I've been there. It's rough at first, but then it gets a little better...you always want them, but it's time for them move on and you realize how quickly it all goes. It's a huge change, so be gentle with yourself and have as much chocolate as you like!
