The blessed quiet

Well Christmas is over for another year, presses have exchanged and lots of food and drink has been consumed.
This is the quiet after the storm and I relish it!
I hope you all got spilt and that Santa was extra special for you. As for me, spending time with family and friends was wonderful and I was a good girl and did not over indulge.
Now what to do for new years, I just want to stay home but we have been invited to a friends place so we shall see how we feel.
See ya

We have a quiet before the storm here. We have an event for each day this week. Today was just us going to another train display. Tomorrow it's out to dinner with more family, then to the aquarium with grand children the next day. We have to go back to the ship for quiet! ;) That will be at the end of January.

We have the in-laws up for New Years, so hubby has told me he and I are going out for dinner - just the two of us. That is a real treat and I am looking forward to it.

We are enjoying our quiet time too, its going to be too hot for doing anything for New Year's with 40C on Saturday, 43C on Sunday, 41C on Monday. A little disappointing because we were going to go away, but the animals and garden wont survive without us in that heat! So it will be a quiet one at home for us :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR Angela!

Here's to us because I didn't overindulge either. I'm on so many drugs that I don't dare drink, so that helps a lot.

Well since this is my only 'real' time off until next July, I am totally enjoying it but trying to get things done as well. As for New Years we never go anywhere. I can drink at home, I don't need a holiday for it.
