A new Heater

Here is the new heater, just installed and ready to be lit. Its a radiant heater, so no fan to run and it has a cook top so I will be able to put a pot of soup on in the morning and have it ready to eat by night. Save on electricity and get more bang for your buck each time you put a log on the fire.
now I will have to get one of the old fashion kettles and I will always have hot water to make a cuppa with.
So now you can just pop it and the kettle will always be on!
I cant wait to light her.
see ya

Thanks really nice. I like the cook top ideal too. When we had one in stl. it was too ornate to cook on. but I kept a teal pot for moisture on it. Stay warm. :)

That's a very nice heater Angela...

I think we might get one like this next time round, so I can cook on it too. There is a big kettle on the top of ours, always gently bubbling away.

Oh it likes so spick and span...........

Will be nice hearing the kettle singing away on top of it

My folks had a radiant style heater and there was usually a pot of soup and a kettle warming on the top of it.............

Enjoy it, have a great weekend,

Claire :}

What a lovely stove! I'm dreaming of one of those! Tea-kettle water boiling in winter... Ahhhh.

we call those wood stoves over hear, you should keep a cast iron pot of water on the top of it at all times as they tend to dry your skin out.

Mind you, you probably don't have yours going 24/7 like we do in our coldest months, January through March.
