An angel has touched my heart

Just when you think that the world is a cruel and harsh place, where people only care about there own little lives someone is sent to you to remind you that there are truly angels among us.
Today I was sent some home made soap from granny in QLD. One for me and one for my friend Leanne. I received a notice to pick up this parcel from the post office and did not know what is was or where it had come from. I am posting from Leannes house and we are both very touched by this wonderful surprise.
So thank you ever so much Granny, your kindness has lifted my soul and restored my faith that there is still good in this world

What the?

I have been trying to post some pics of the pigs and its not working.
What is going on with blogger.

Personality test.

I did this test that The empty nester posted.
http://mynestlife.blogspot.com/
Interesting try it out and see what it says about you.

Your Type is INFJ

Introverted                 Intuitive                   Feeling                Judging
                                Strength of the preferences %
            78                    62                           50                      67

Beneath the quiet exterior, INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. Those who are activists -- INFJs gravitate toward such a role -- are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power.

INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden. They often are found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress. INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ.

"There's something rotten in Denmark." Accurately suspicious about others' motives, INFJs are not easily led. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time. Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words.

INFJs have a knack for fluency in language and facility in communication. In addition, nonverbal sensitivity enables the INFJ to know and be known by others intimately.

Writing, counseling, public service and even politics are areas where INFJs frequently find their niche.

Functional Analysis:

Introverted iNtuition

Introverted intuitives, INFJs enjoy a greater clarity of perception of inner, unconscious processes than all but their INTJ cousins. Just as SP types commune with the object and "live in the here and now" of the physical world, INFJs readily grasp the hidden psychological stimuli behind the more observable dynamics of behavior and affect. Their amazing ability to deduce the inner workings of the mind, will and emotions of others gives INFJs their reputation as prophets and seers. Unlike the confining, routinizing nature of introverted sensing, introverted intuition frees this type to act insightfully and spontaneously as unique solutions arise on an event by event basis.

Extraverted Feeling

Extraverted feeling, the auxiliary deciding function, expresses a range of emotion and opinions of, for and about people. INFJs, like many other FJ types, find themselves caught between the desire to express their wealth of feelings and moral conclusions about the actions and attitudes of others, and the awareness of the consequences of unbridled candor. Some vent the attending emotions in private, to trusted allies. Such confidants are chosen with care, for INFJs are well aware of the treachery that can reside in the hearts of mortals. This particular combination of introverted intuition and extraverted feeling provides INFJs with the raw material from which perceptive counselors are shaped.

Introverted Thinking

The INFJ's thinking is introverted, turned toward the subject. Perhaps it is when the INFJ's thinking function is operative that he is most aloof. A comrade might surmise that such detachment signals a disillusionment, that she has also been found lacking by the sardonic eye of this one who plumbs the depths of the human spirit. Experience suggests that such distancing is merely an indication that the seer is hard at work and focusing energy into this less efficient tertiary function.

Extraverted Sensing

INFJs are twice blessed with clarity of vision, both internal and external. Just as they possess inner vision which is drawn to the forms of the unconscious, they also have external sensing perception which readily takes hold of worldly objects. Sensing, however, is the weakest of the INFJ's arsenal and the most vulnerable. INFJs, like their fellow intuitives, may be so absorbed in intuitive perceiving that they become oblivious to physical reality. The INFJ under stress may fall prey to various forms of immediate gratification. Awareness of extraverted sensing is probably the source of the "SP wannabe" side of INFJs. Many yearn to live spontaneously; it's not uncommon for INFJ actors to take on an SP (often ESTP) role.

Getting organised

we have decided to get grid connected solar power put on at th house. So this means this tree had to go.
We had cut it down years ago but it had suckers grow back and it was not the safest thing to have near the house. In storms you could hear it creaking and it was a worry.
Here it is coming down slowly but surely. Already it has opened up the view to the house.
And now its gone! you can see even in this overcast day how much more light reaches the roof. Hopefully we can get the solar organised soon. We will have to borrow for it, but in the long run it will be the better option.

A typical Sunday

Out side there is the sound of the animals all content as they have been fed, watered and let out to play in the sun.
Also the sound of the wipper snipper is going to be followed by that of the ride on mower.
Inside the dishwasher is going and so is the washing machine.
just a few of the sounds of a typical Sunday here at our home.
What about yours.

A productive day fishing.

The weather was glorious and the water was so calm. There were heaps of boats out on the water and we were all hoping to catch some fish.
This was one of the many jelly fish that were in the water. I was worried about them with the boats prop, but they seemed quite content and avoided all the boats.

14 flathead, there the ones we kept. Flathead have to be 27centermeters to be legal. We caught heaps that were just under that. They all got thrown back to be caught another day.
While waiting for dear hubby to get the car so we could load up the boat I was waiting by the pier. I noticed these little fish swarming under the pier. There were some slightly larger ones too and I realised they were baby whiting. Ummm I wonder how long they take to grow big enough to eat. hahah

This is our tent, its called the 30second tent as thats how long it takes to put up. And it really does!
Its just perfect for two, but when the kids were little we all slept in it. Lots of good time were had in this tent.

You can just see Keith and sue waving to us from their boat.

This is Dear Hubby launching our boat ready for a days fishing. More shots tomorrow.

Let me tell you about my day

The day started fairly normal, got up early and off I tootled to gym.
Did my work out, then headed home. After breakfast and attending to the chickens I had my shower.
Shower still cold as the new hot water system will be 10days coming. Dont ask me why I dont know.
So after the body got over the shock of that got ready to go to quilting class.
Class was good bought more material to finish off the two jelly rolls I have been working on.
Left class and rang dear hubby as I remembered he wanted me to take him in Hallam to pick up a Van.
He said he wasnt ready yet so I whent straight home and had lunch, go out the vacum and started to do the floors.
Get a phone call ready now. I had to walk over as he had the car, and I needed to follow him first into cranbourne to deliver another car, then pick him up and take him to Hallam.
Did all that and was told go straight home and wait as he needed me to deliver another car. So I do, lucky I had a book with me and sat in the car waiting.
When he gets there, about 15 minutes after me, he is a chatter box. He totally forgets I am there and then after about 10 minutes tells me plans have changed I can go home.
So home I go and start to vacum again, and I get half way through I get a call can I come and help deliver another car.
So off I get, go to the shed to wait and guess what.
He is not ready, and then tells me we may not be going as he is not sure the car is ready.
But can I just wait a few minutes to make sure. SURE I CAN I DONT HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO, DO I.
So after about 10 minutes yes the car gets delivered and I pick up our machanic and bring him back.
go back home to finish vacuming and guess what
Its time to start dinner. So pack up vacumcleaner and try again another day.

Preserving the Harvest

Today I spent the morning cutting up the the tomatoes and beans and added onion and capsicum and cooked it all up. These will go into the freezer to be used in the slow cooker with meat from our paddocks.
I also got a bag of home grown apples from my father in law and one from my mother in law. I added the apples from my tree and I now have 6 containers in the freezer waiting to be made in apple crumble during winter.
So I have 6 main meals and 6 desserts. The only things not from home will be the rice served as a side dish and the flour, sugar, coconut and butter for the crumble.
Not bad I think.
I just hope we dont have anymore freezer problems, when the spare fridge whent it took alot of frozen produce with it.
I hate wasting all that hard work.

With a song in our hearts.

Last night I whent over to Leannes and we had a few drinks, bought pizza for tea and sang singstar all night.
Our poor husbands had to endure the pain. At one stage I looked over and saw Steve, her husband, with his fingers in his ears. lol
It was a great night and we both needed it.
Chemo has been booked for Thursday.
Boy we sure do sound bad. Luckily you couldnt hear us.

Then the fridge dies and takes all the produce I have harvested and frozen with it.
Now the hot water has decided to give up the ghost.
Cold showers sure do put hairs on your chest, and hypothermia in your body.
Tell me thats three and I can get on with the rest of my life.

More chemo

Two small spots were found, so we now have 6 more rounds of chemo.
The silver lining is no op this time, as the growths are so small. Lets hope the chemo will shrink them away.
